We've been on our travels and brought back some lovely things from around the world and we don't think you will find them anywhere else in town.

All the 'pop-up' gifts are hand crafted and of limited availability, and they are all under fifty pounds - so treat yourself or a loved one.

From Milan, there's a collection of table-ware in translucent plastics in a variety of colours (purple, orange, fluo-pink, to name a few). A set of eight small bowls is £18. A place setting of cutlery £15. The ’Bye-Bye fly’ swats are £8.

From Istanbul, sets of six oil soaps in cute wood boxes are £15; hand-felted gaily coloured balls, each with a unique pattern, are £8; 'whirling dervish' spinning decorations in oxide red or black, powered by night-light candles £25; patch-work kilim cushion covers £25, felt animal cushions are £35.

From Marrakesh there are pewter and glass lantern at £20 each; wonderful, unique, upcycled handbags made using plastic flour sacks, lined in wicker and with leather handles, each £35; photo frames from upcycled oil drums in blues from £25 and primitive guinea-fowl sculptures in painted wood from £15.

We are currently exhibiting work from rising artist Ben Levy. The pieces have had a great reaction in the first few days. Here we show 'Salad' from a series based on the world of fashion models and 'Krays' taken from a super-heroes series. These two pieces are, in old-fashioned currency, 4 foot x 8 foot. London Design Festival.

We have installed a special exhibition to launch the new collections: Telling Tales. It is easy to lose sight of the link between an original concept and its commercial fruition. However, each unique design of Ligne Roset's enthralling new collection clamours to have its story told. Ligne Roset Westend are giving each item its own soapbox and letting the pieces speak for themselves. The exhibition is on until October 7th, with a special drinks evening on Wednesday 21 September 6.30 to 9.30pm - see www.londondesignfestival.com/events/telling-tales.

Ligne Roset is appearing at the Clerkenwell Design festival from May 24-26th. Our Ploum sofa will make its final UK appearance there before its official Autumn launch. There will also be other pieces from the next collection including new designs from the revered architect Jean Nouvel. Here at the store his 'Simple Bridge' chair and stool, below, have just arrived. A great piece for limited urban dwellers, it is an exercise in the most minimal of design.

Earlier this year we gave our Facebook viewers a sneak preview of a very exciting new sofa by urber fashionable R & E Bouroullec. This model really does throw away the rule book, using technology that just didn't exist a few years ago. Its soft yielding textures need to be experienced. It is not due to be launched until September but we have exciting news: for a very limited period from 6 May to 23 May we will have the large version on show here at Mortimer Street. Put the date in your diary if you are design junkies.

With the first shoots of Spring finally showing, you may feel the need to freshen up your nest with some elegant new furniture. We have a couple of great new offers to tempt you. In addition, we are having our own Spring Clean. With Roset's collection changing each year, we need to refocus on which items to keep in stock. Therefore, we have decided to sell off some older lines with a 25% discount to make way for the new. Check our Clearance pages to see the list. These items are stock, not ex display, so they might not be on show at the store. There are only a few of each piece so do check with us to see what is available. The list is only an indication. We also deliver free of charge within the London area.

The Cologne and Paris January furniture fairs heralded the launch of Roset's 2012 collection. We are proud that the brand has continued to drive forward with many new innovative designs. We are already excited, planning the showroom launch in early Autumn. As a taster, here is the 'Ploum' sofa by Erwan and Ronan Bouroullec. We also think the 'Ruche' bed will be a hit as trends move on from the lux hotel room look to something more individual.
