We have just passed Mad March Hare day and so of course April’s edition of Elle Decoration has just hit the newsstands. It makes for some good reading and, as usual, features real peoples’ homes from around the globe. This month I was especially taken with a Parisian apartment recently updated by Interior designer Fleur Delesalle (fleurdelesalle.com) , especially the bedroom with its custom-made bold red bed. Of course I was ever so slightly biased as Fleur has included one of our iconic Pumpkin armchairs designed by Pierre Paulin in a lovely moss/sage green. Her name rang a bell and a quick search through our Instagram found a repost back in 30 January 2018 of a stunning shot featuring white furniture against a chrome yellow wall and graphic black staircase.
(Mike – insert an image of that post here perhaps?)
However I loved the Barcelona ‘Block Party’ house perhaps even more, with great use of bold colour mixes. Architect Luis Barragan’s work came to mind. Elsewhere in the magazine Ligne Roset got included in a round up of outdoor furniture using innovative materials with a design-led approach. Images of both BackPack Outdoor and Ottoman Outdoor appear. Thanks Elle, not to mention Ligne Roset UK’s public relations company Portrait communications too. Our other outdoor-proof seating choice is Saparella, designed by Michel Ducaroy in 1965 and brought back into production this year as a well-priced indoor easting or a weather-proofed version too. Monsieur Ducaroy designed our iconic Togo seating which has been perennially popular since 1973.

Winding back to that other icon of the Design world, Pierre Paulin and his Pumpkin seating, we have just introduced this range at a rather special price from this month in all the colours of Kvadrat’s Divina Melange 3 and Divina MD. Zap over into our ‘Offers and Clearance’ web section to see more on this. Ligne Roset has spotted a recent surge in interest and sales of this fun POP design and thought they would help that along so that even more people can afford such a great piece of modern design in their homes. Once just made for a President (Pompidou), but now made much more egalitarian by Ligne Roset.
(Insert image of Pumpkin too)
One last thing for the week…I have been slow on catching up with the Oscar-winning movie ‘Parasite’. It’s only March but it could be a contender for my Movie of the Year. You must go. Keep an eye out for the stunning seating in the fab architect-designed house. You can’t miss it as a rather pivotal/controversial part of the plot takes place on it… If it appeals, do consider our Prado seating which works in a similar way.
